The Tucson Herpetological Society is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to conservation, education and research concerning the amphibians and reptiles of Arizona and Mexico.

Our funding and efforts are made possible by both our members and the generous donations made by those that love what we do. As an officially registered non-profit, all donations are eligible for tax deductions based on your state laws.

If you are interested in making a donation to further our efforts, please use one of the following methods to contribute.

Choose which donation category you prefer and write it on the memo field on your personal check. If you do not have a preference, THS will choose for you!

Jarchow Conservation Award

Charles H. Lowe Grant Fund

This supports our ability to help researchers and educators working with our local amphibians and reptiles with funding up to $1,000. For more information, including applying and past awards, visit the Charles H. Lowe Grant Fund page.

Mexico Tortoise Projects

This is a group of researchers dedicated to the research and protection of Mexican tortoise species. Their funds are housed with Tucson Herpetological Society and disbursed to them at their request. Learn more on our Mexico Tortoise Projects page.

General Fund

As you can imagine, these funds keep the THS running in the most basic ways, such as bank fees, occasional travel reimbursements for out-of-town speakers at our monthly meetings, coverage for the special funds listed below if needed, conference and book sponsorships, etc. THS members get special discounts for books that we contribute to the publication of or that member authors offer.

Outreach

This supports the continued public outreach that educates the general public about our amphibians and reptiles. This includes milage for presenters/educators, educational tools, feeding education animals, printing literature, and whatever else may be needed for providing these services.
